Borraccio is a mercenary swordsman of Italian descent, with a proud history -- of which he remembers absolutely nothing. Having suffered a head injury shortly after leaving Anagni, his own past is an empty page to him. The same injury has apparently left him insane -- he talks to people who aren't there. He is sometimes aware of these lapses and seems embarrassed by them when caught out. At times light-hearted and jovial, at other times fierce and remorseless, he is intolerant of injustice and will not stand idle while it is done. He usually fights with a longsword, dagger, or barehanded.

Borraccio is played by Michael Pearce, also know as Tinker, the swordmaker, whose blades have won the loyalty of sword-wielders across the country. He is married to Linda (Azenor).
